Jaipur: A speeding dumper truck ploughed into 17 vehicles near Loha Mandi in Jaipur’s Harmada area on Monday afternoon, killing 13 people and injuring more than 10 others, police said.

Three of the injured are in critical condition and have been referred to the SMS Hospital Trauma Centre.
According to police, the dumper, which was empty, was heading from Loha Mandi Petrol Pump toward Road No. 14 when the driver lost control and began hitting vehicles and pedestrians for nearly 300 meters. Several cars, bikes, and people were caught in its path before the truck came to a halt. The injured were rushed to hospitals by ambulances, and traffic was diverted from the accident site.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed deep grief over the tragedy and directed officials to ensure the best possible treatment for the injured. He dispatched ministers Jhavar Singh Kharra and KK Bishnoi to Kanwatia Hospital and ministers Suresh Rawat and Sumit Godara to SMS Hospital to oversee relief arrangements. Sharma said he is personally monitoring the situation and has instructed the district collector and hospital authorities to ensure no lapse in medical care.
