A video shared by news agency PTI captured the aftermath as a massive section of the Amer Fort wall gave way, crashing into heaps of debris amid pounding rain. Torrents of water can be seen streaming down the ancient structure.

This comes as several districts, including Jaipur, Bundi, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Karauli received over 10 cm of rain till Saturday morning, causing widespread waterlogging and further isolating villages.

Army and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel carried out relief operations in Kota on Friday, while State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams evacuated residents from other rain-hit areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, Bundi’s Nainwa recorded the state’s highest rainfall at 502 mm in the past 24 hours.
