Four police officers of a bomb disposal squad from Morena were killed after a speeding container truck and their vehicle collided on National Highway-44 near Bandri in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district on Wednesday morning.
The deceased have been identified as police personnel Pradyuman Dixit, Aman Kaurav, driver Parmal Tomar, all residents of Morena and dog handler Vinod Sharma, a resident of Bhind.
Constable Rajiv Chauhan was seriously injured in the accident and is currently undergoing treatment. He is being airlifted to Delhi for treatment.

According to police, the personnel were returning from Balaghat in a bomb squad disposal vehicle. A speeding container truck and police vehicle collided head-on. All the four police personnel died on the spot. The dog accompanying the team was unharmed.

{{/usCountry}}“The collision between the container truck and the police vehicle was so intense that the driver and the officers were trapped inside the vehicle. A JCB machine was used to cut the vehicle and retrieve the bodies”, a police official said.
