“BJP has not sent a team to Bundelkhand where farmers are committing suicide or to areas in the state where cane growers are in distress due to pending arrears,” party spokesman R P N Singh told reporters.
He said when BJP’s just-concluded National Executive meeting in Allahabad took up the issue of Kairana, it was a “clear signal” of the nature of their politics in UP.
Referring to the Ishrat Jahan encounter case, he attacked the government alleging that witnesses were being tutored so that “Congress is seen in bad light & truth is suppressed”.
On reports about the possibility of interest rate of Public Provident Fund going below 8%, he said that this would be a big blow to the common man.
