Cold wave conditions continued in the Kashmir Valley and the Ladakh region on Friday as minimum temperatures dropped several notches below the freezing point.

The Met department has forecast cold, dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir till Saturday although some rain and snow was expected February 11 onwards.
The minimum temperature was -3.5°C in Srinagar, while it was -5.8°C and -5.5°C in Pahalgam and Gulmarg, respectively.
Kargil was the coldest town at -14.5°C while Leh recorded -11.2 °C.
Jammu city recorded 5.4°C, Katra 5.8°C, Batote 1.7°C, Banihal -1.2°C, Bhaderwah -0.2°C and Udhampur 1.2°C.
