Ghaziabad: The Ghaziabad police arrested a 31-year-old YouTuber, from Patna in Bihar and brought him to Ghaziabad on Monday in connection with a case of rape and unnatural offenses lodged by a woman from Khoda in September, the officials said Monday.
The police said that the suspect was named in an FIR lodged at Khoda police station on September 18 by a 27-year-old woman who is a content creator and operates an online channel. The officials said that the suspect is a native of Muzaffarpur in Bihar.
The FIR against the suspect was registered under IPC sections 376 (rape), 377 (unnatural offences), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison, etc.), 313 (causing a miscarriage to a woman without her consent), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 506 (criminal intimidation).
“The woman has accused the man of rape and unnatural offences, and also of causing her abortion. She has given a detailed complaint, and an FIR under relevant sections was registered at Khoda police station. On the basis of electronic surveillance, we traced the suspect YouTuber in Patna, and a team arrested him from the Anisabad area,” said Abhishek Srivastava, ACP of Indirapuram circle.
The officials said that the suspect, about three years ago, used to come to Delhi and get in touch with the woman.

{{/usCountry}}“The incident started about two-and-half years ago when the suspect laced a cold drink, which led me to become unconscious. He later raped me and continued to do so on the false promise of marrying me. In between, he also forced me to have an abortion and would also beat me up whenever I resisted…,” the woman said in the FIR.
The woman also alleged in the FIR that she was forced to convert her religion.
“The entire sequence of events will be investigated in detail on the basis of facts and evidence. The suspect was produced before a magistrate in Patna and brought to Ghaziabad on Monday. In Ghaziabad, he was produced before a court and sent to judicial custody,” ACP added.
