While the probe into Sidhu Moose Wala's murder continues, a CCTV image has surfaced from the slain Punjabi singer's village in Mansa moments before he was killed.
The CCTV footage dated May 29, the day the killing took place, shows Moose Wala's jeep which stopped near some people. In the footage, some people are seen taking selfies. Sources told Hindustan Times that two of these people had allegedly informed the shooters just after the singer left the spot.
One of the persons spotted in the video has been identified as Kekada, who conducted the recce. Sources in the Punjab Police said that the CCTV footage revealed he spent 40 minutes at the singer's house as a fan and also took selfies. In fact, Kekada was the one who informed the shooters that Moose Wala was travelling in his Thar leaving behind his bullet-proof vehicle and was not accompanied by his gunmen for security. Kekda has been arrested by the Mansa Police.
Earlier in the day, sources told Hindustan Times that eight shooters involved in the killing of Sidhu Moose Wala had been identified. This came on a day when the Moga Police arrested Devinder Singh of Fatehabad, who besides being accused of gangster Harjit Singh Penta's killing is also suspected of role in Moose Wala's murder.
This comes three days after two shooters linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang were arrested from Fatehabad. The Punjab Police suspects that Moose Wala was murdered due to inter-gang rivalry and blamed the Bishnoi gang.
Bishnoi is currently lodged in Tihar jail and has also been grilled by the Delhi Police Special Cell in connection with the singer's murder. Moose Wala, 28, was killed by unidentified assailants at Jawaharke village in Mansa district of Punjab on May 29.
