"Our prime minister has worked hard to make India's name across the world. It is not right of Rahul Gandhi to go across another country and speak against India. Whatever it is, they can sort it out in Parliament… not abroad."

Hema Malini also praised the people behind Telugu film 'RRR' and Tamil short 'Elephant Whisperers' for their Oscar-winning feat this week'; the former won the Academy Award for Best (Original) Song for ‘Naatu Naatu’ and the latter the Best Documentary (Short).

In the UK, Gandhi spoke at private events - including one at the University of Cambridge and addressed British MPs - and discussed several issues - from the border stand-off with China to the Pegasus spyware row, and claimed opposition lawmakers in India were being denied the right to voice their views.

A furious BJP has demanded Gandhi apologise to Parliament for having 'insulted' the institution and Indian democracy. Both Houses of Parliament were adjourned this afternoon for a second consecutive day.

He joined other BJP leaders, including defence minister Rajnath Singh, in demanding Gandhi apologise - demands the Congress has rubbished.
