Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) lawmaker Sanjay Raut on Friday announced that he will stay away from public life for the next two months due to some serious health issues.

As Maharashtra goes for local body polls in the next two months, Raut’s absence from the political campaign might be a jolt to Shiv Sena (UBT).

Raut played a key role in bringing the two Thackeray cousins, Uddhav and Raj, together to contest the civic polls.
Addressing friends and party workers on social media, Raut said that he is suddenly suffering from some serious health problems and is undergoing treatment. “Doctors have put restrictions regarding mixing with people and going out. One can’t help it. I am confident that I will recover and join you next year,” he wrote.
