Delhi rain forecast
The national capital has been consistently receiving rain over the past few days, triggering traffic snarls across the city.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a generally cloudy sky with light rain or drizzle for Wednesday. No alerts have been issued for the capital so far.
The weather office also corrected its data on Tuesday for August's average rainfall. On Monday, the IMD said Delhi had received 234.5mm of rain in the first 10 days of August this year, exceeding the month's expected total of 233.1mm. However, on Tuesday, IMD quietly corrected this month's rain figure to 197.2mm in its bulletin.
An IMD official also confirmed the discrepancy, saying that the gap in data was due to incorrect rain entry of 56mm instead of 18.7mm for August 6 in its data chart.
Rain fury, landslide in Mumbai
Mumbai saw moderate rain on Tuesday after a brief pause in monsoon showers, with relatively heavier rainfall in the western suburbs.

A yellow alert has been issued for parts of Maharashtra, including Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Palghar, and Nashik.

Weather today LIVE updates: Mumbai landslide rescue underway, cramped access hampers ops
Weather today LIVE updates: Narrow access to the landslide site in Mumbai's Kurla is hampering the ongoing rescue efforts, a civic official reportedly said.
Two people were killed, and several others were feared trapped after the landslide at Gaushiya Chawl in Ashok Nagar locality of Ghatkopar's Chirag Nagar.
A senior official of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation told news agency PTI that the access to the site is so narrow that only one person can enter at a time, posing a major challenge to rescue operations.
"There is no room to walk. Hardly one person can pass at a time, and even two cannot stand face to face," he said.
"Due to narrow lanes of hardly 3 to 3.5 feet, the debris has to be removed with the help of a wrecker and then manually removed with a bucket," he added.
