A woman and her son set on fire two bikes that were parked in front of a house in Bengaluru’s Kothanur on Monday night, police officials familiar with the matter said on Tuesday.

According to officials, on Monday night, a family woke up to the alarm of their vehicles and rushed out of the house to see two of their bikes on fire. As the neighbours rushed to put out the fire, the two vehicles had already burnt to ashes.

Officials said the two bikes were owned by a woman named Pushpa and her son. Soon after the incident, Pushpa filed a complaint with the Kothanur police.

She alleged that a woman named Gowramma and her son, Nanjunda Babu, had set their vehicles on fire due to an old animosity.

In the FIR, Pushpa alleged that Gowramma’s son also abused her and threatened her with her life, adding that Babu set on fire their two vehicles.
