Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal scored a century each as Sri Lanka reached 356/9 at stumps on the third day of the third Test against India. They trail the hosts by 180 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin and Ishant Sharma struck at regular intervals in the final session to cause a mini-collapse towards the end of the day. India registered a massive first innings score thanks largely to skipper Kohli, who scored his sixth double ton. Sri Lanka will aim to bat through the third day but the pollution in the capital, which caused play to be stopped for a bit and saw the visitors’ come out to play whilst wearing masks.
