India were in a commanding position at stumps on Day 2 of the 2nd Test against Sri Lanka at Colombo, after posting 622/9 (d) and restricting the hosts to 50/2, courtesy of Ravichandran Ashwin’s two wickets late in the day. Ravichandran Ashwin had earlier scored 54, and with the help of Wriddhiman Saha’s 67 and Ravindra Jadeja’s 70*, helped India take over from overnight centurions Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane to take the team’s first innings total past 600 runs.
