STAT ATTACK - Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane’s last five ODI partnerships: 83, 125, 56, 112, 132

17:20 hrs IST: Bad news. It’s raining in Port of Spain. Heavy showers. We’ll keep you posted.

17:15 hrs IST: Hello and welcome to HT’s live coverage of second ODI of the five-match series between India - West Indies.

The opening match was abandoned after 39.2 overs with India reaching 199/3 when persistent showers played spoilsport.

Shikhar Dhawan’s 87 and comeback-man Ajinkya Rahane’s 62 were the highlights of the Indian innings. For the Mumbaikar, the half-century will be a confidence booster, knowing that he will have to vacate the top spot once Rohit Sharma is back during the next limited-overs assignment.

When it comes to the two sides, the Men in Blue look very strong on paper as compared to the hosts. Especially when it comes to bowling, the Windies attack is pretty inexperienced. The Jason Holder-led side were recently held to a 1-1 draw by Afghanistan.
