Describing his overall condition as critical, the bulletin said the blood pressure of Biswas was unstable and it was being maintained on drugs. He is still on ventilatory support, it added.
A CI scan of brain, repeated this morning, showed further reduction in clot size but development of brain "htem-infarcity."
Biswas, also a polit bureau member of CPI(M), was admitted to the nursing home following massive brain haemorrhage on March 18.
