A 22-year-old law student was allegedly raped by a guesthouse owner and later dragged in full public view, beaten and stripped by him and his accomplices for refusing to be a surrogate mother for him and his wife.

The police said five people have been arrested in connection to this case.

According to reports, the incident occurred on February 3. However, the accused tried to hush the matter up and admitted the injured girl in a private hospital situated on the guesthouse campus. The victim managed to reach out to some student leaders on Sunday, who took the matter to the police.

The police registered a case against the owner of the guest house and his accomplices under various sections of the IPC.

According to the victim’s complaint, she worked in the guesthouse to earn her livelihood after the demise of her father. She was also pursuing law in Meerut College. She alleged that Subhash had sexual relations with her and forced her to be a surrogate mother. When she refused, she was allegedly beaten up and raped.
