His brush is always in a rush. Black, red and blue oils are chucked by an artist on a canvas. Result: cocoa brown portraits of a woman in agony.Oh!
To be honest you’re in agony throughout Mohit Suri’s Raaz: TMC too. Agony Woman (Kangana Ranaut her lips earthquaking as always) is a ramp model without any competition this time from Priyanka Chopra. Relief. Earthquaker stares at a godman at a fashion do and screams black-and-white murder. “You bed man, you bed man,” she screams. Why? Why? Maybe you’ll know in The Mystery Still Continues, which you hope will not. Please, have mercy.
Okay to return to Earthquake Lips, she is living in with a reality show host (Adhyayan Suman who must learn how to lip-sync songs). He also dances but doesn’t do Nach Baliye. Instead, he video shoots jungle men eating kababs of unspecified meat. Bleat. Then there’s the aforecited Artist (Emraan Hashmi) who has the classic Jagdish Tytler-beard look and generally drives Earthquake around the countryside which could be near Bangkok, Bombay or Inverness. Director Suri keeps that a mystery as well. Not fair.
Buffaloes are about to kill all. Curtains disco. Then blood wounds erupt on Lady Earthquake (like they did in Hollywood’s Stigmata). Now, she flies like a low-cost airline. Abracadabra. Or Abba-jabba-dhabba. Next: Jackie Shroff shows up to yell at a foreign pesticides company polluting a holy river. Scarily, Jackieji, then, jumps into a water well and never ever emerges. Chances are that neither will you.

{{/usCountry}}That Hashmi, Ranaut and Suman are humdrum is not likely to remain a Raaz for very long. Director Suri extracts a catchy music score, though, from Raju Singh and Company. The cinematography is pretty fluid till it comes to endless car drives. and ouch even that pesticides company created via cheesy special effects.
Do yourself a favour. Spend the ticket cash on something more appetising. Like a raazogolla.
