A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her father and three of their neighbours in the MIG police station limits in Indore over the last one month.

After the matter was reported on Thursday, police arrested her father and registered a case of sexual assault against him. The minor has been sent for a medical examination, and the accused was being interrogated in this regard.

Assistant superintendent of police (East) Rajesh Kumar Singh said that a manhunt has been launched for the other accused, who are still at large.

Elaborating on the incident, Singh said that the girl’s father, a labourer, had raped his daughter last month. When the other three came to know about this, they joined in too – raping her thrice over the same period of time.

According to police, the minor’s mother had died a couple of years ago. Following that, she had been living with her grandmother and father in the MIG police station limits. “Our woman investigating officer is taking the victim’s statement. We are yet to receive more information on the case,” said Singh.
