After Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) took up answer books of IPS Academy students for re-evaluation, management students of Vaishnav College, Indore, too approached the university on Tuesday alleging under grading of their papers.
Second semester students of Vaishnav College tabled their grievance with the DAVV administration block officials, claiming that despite doing well in their Fundamentals of Operation Management and Operation Research papers, they were under graded by the evaluators. The students requested an unconditional review of their results of these two subjects. However, the university officials turned down the plea and asked them to go for the review process.
Students of IPS Academy had registered their protest over poor results despite doing well in MBA second semester exams, at the weekly student hearing on December 6. DAVV officials initials declined to accept their request, but when National Students Union of India (NSUI) leaders pitched in, the university took up 10 answer books for sampling, and found six out of the 10 papers were under graded. All the answer books were sent for re-evaluation following this.
Vaishnav students, who were turned down on Tuesday, alleged that they failed to get a favourable response due to absence of support from student leaders. “We will come back with student leaders. We are confident that we were under graded by the evaluator despite many of us doing fairly well in the semester examination,” students told mediapersons.
