An irate mob on Monday torched a vehicle after two women were killed in a road accident near Anjad village on Khandwa-Vadodra highway here, police said.

The incident occurred when the women identified as Parubai, 35, and Rajal Bai, 55, were working in front of their houses.
A police officer said Parubai was killed on the spot while Rajal was rushed to a government hospital in serious condition where the doctors declared her brought dead.
The vehicle driver Nilesh Baria was badly beaten up by the residents. He was admitted to a district hospital, which is 16 km away from Anjad. The vehicle carrying pilgrims was returning to Dahod (Gujarat) after visiting Shirdi.
On May 19, people torched a truck and put up a road block for over two hours demanding installation of speed breakers after two boys were killed at Borlai village on Khadwa-Vadodra highway.
