Women are agents of change and they should vow to change the society by coming out of their houses, then no one can stop them from bringing in change, said chief minister Vasundhara Raje on Saturday.
She was administering an oath to women members of Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha Rajasthan at her official residence at Civil Lines in Jaipur.
Later, Raje also graced a meeting of the Jat community, where she felicitated those selected in the civil services and state civil services examinations.
The CM’s meeting with the Rajput and Jat community members is being seen as an outreach to them ahead of the assembly elections. Both the communities are politically significant in Rajasthan.
Addressing the Rajput women at Civil Lines, Raje said the women of Kshatriya community who remain in veil have come today to take oath for doing social service and it is an example for other communities.
Raje said generally Kshatriya women do not come out of the house, but today new era has started. She said when women step out with a feeling to bring change then despite hundreds of challenges, positive change is certain because women know how to keep the house and similarly, they can unite the society, country and state.
She exhorted the Kshatriya women that they have taken up social service and will have to move ahead by taking all 36 communities together; they have to support during happy and tough times, then only strong society and state can be built. Raje said the chunari, Kshatriya women have draped them in, is light in weight, but has the weight of a big responsibility.

Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha woman officials apprised chief minister about the activities of their districts. On this occasion, Mahasabha Rajasthan president Anand Singh Shekhawat, Vishwa Hindu Parishad state president Narpat Singh Shekhawat and Mahasabha patron Gaj Singh Alsisar were present.
