Karan Johar shared pictures of his all-black look for season 2 of Traitors on Instagram, with the Internet comparing the outfit to crows.

The first three episodes of The Traitors Season 2 premiered on August 13. The same day, filmmaker Karan Johar, who returns as the host of the reality show, posted pictures of his edgy, all-black look on Instagram.

The outfit, designed by Bollywood's favourite designer Manish Malhotra, was put together by celebrity stylist Eka Lakhani. Though edgy and dark, as soon as Karan posted the pictures online, the internet was quick to flood the comments section with jokes about crows, as, according to them, the outfit was quite similar to the bird.

What did the internet say?

Diet Sabya, an internet fashion sleuth and content creator, posted pictures of Karan Johar and wrote, “Krow Johar is sending me to Mars.” A user commented under the post, “Serving cawture runway.” Another wrote, “Yaku from Chandrakanta.”

A user commented, “Enough internet for today.” Someone else wrote, “Kaua Biryani,” a reference to an iconic comic scene from the 2004 film Run. A user also compared the mood of Karan's outfit to that of Game of Thrones' Jon Snow and wrote, “Karan Snow.”

Decoding Karan Johar's look

The Manish Malhotra outfit features a full-body trench coat with leather lapels, a double-breasted design, tailored stitching, and split sleeves decorated with black satin ribbons that give off a feather effect, which many compared to crow wings.

Karan paired the trench coat with a black satin shirt featuring a split Mandarin collar, pleated design on the breast, cinched cuffs, full-length sleeves, and a fitted silhouette. The filmmaker tucked the shirt into flared, high-waisted pants with a stitched belt at the waist.

Karan and his stylist accessorised the ensemble with statement jewels, including a gold chain adorned with a cross pendant set with a ruby. A pair of leather gloves adorned with pearls and vintage-style brooches elevated the outfit. Lastly, he chose bulky sunglasses and chunky leather boots to give a finishing touch.
