Miss Earth Indonesia 2025 titleholder and law student Putri Andriani Juficha has died, the Miss Grand Indonesia organisation has announced. The news of her death was shared on 14 August — the date of her 26th birthday — by pageant organisers, who paid tribute to her 'grace, strength, and spirit. 'More than a titleholder'

The official announcement was shared via an Instagram statement by the Miss Grand Indonesia Organisation, where Putri had previously finished as a runner-up for the 2025 title before earning her role as Miss Earth Indonesia 2025. Here's the full statement about the beauty queen's death:

Following the announcement, tributes flooded social media from fans and pageant peers around the world, expressing disbelief and offering prayers to Putri's family.

‘May she rest peacefully’

On August 15, the official account of the Miss Earth Organisation, also shared on Instaram: “With profound sadness, the Miss Earth Organisation extends its deepest sympathies on the passing of Ms Putri Juficha, Miss Earth Indonesia 2025. Her grace, warmth, and beautiful spirit touched the hearts of many. While her time with us was far too short, the light she shared will continue to live on in the memories of all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest peacefully, and may her loved ones, family, friends, and the entire Indonesian community find strength and comfort during this time of profound loss. Rest in peace, Putri. Your light will forever shine.”

Final social media posts

Beyond her work in the pageant industry, Putri was a law student, per her Instagram bio, combining her legal studies with environmental advocacy. Her official pageant background highlighted a commitment to promoting recycling, river protection, and environmental sustainability through the lens of environmental law.

Putri had been less active on social media in recent weeks. Her final Instagram update, posted on 21 July, featured a photo of her wearing a cropped football jersey paired with a black skirt and a brown handbag. In the caption, she congratulated Spain following their 2026 World Cup final victory over Argentina.

In the wake of the announcement on Friday, that final post has become a space for grieving fans and well-wishes, who have left hundreds of comments offering condolences and expressing shock over Putri's death.
