One mom asked ChatGPT for a realistic, no-Botox glow-up at 37. The AI's response? A surprisingly practical, low-maintenance checklist.

If you've ever looked in the mirror at 1 am and thought about getting Botox, this mom says artificial intelligence (AI) might be the easier, cheaper glow-up coach you need. Meet Samantha Catanzaro, a mom of three who works in tech and makes content that helps busy parents actually use AI. Also read | 42-year-old mom shares 10 secrets to her 'glow up in 40s'

ChatGPT's no-Botox glow-up list

In an October 4 Instagram video, she shared the one prompt that changed her entire beauty routine. She explained, “I’m 37 years old and trying to be the best version of myself. So I asked AI what I could do to improve my appearance without Botox or filler. It gave me this list, and I’m going to work through it and see what actually makes a difference.” Instead of pushing pricey treatments, ChatGPT gave her what she titled 'ChatGPT'S face + hair glow-up list: hotter at 37, no Botox, no filler'.

Here’s the breakdown:

1. Shape + tint your brows

2. Try a lash lift + tint

3. Perfect your under-eye routine

5. Find your 'my lips but better' lip shade

6. Wear SPF every single day (non-negotiable)

7. Build a consistent anti-ageing skincare routine

8. Get 7–9 hours of sleep

9. Drink more water, consistently

10. Eat enough protein + healthy fats

11. Get a glossy brunette refresh

12. Add face-framing layers

13. Learn a bouncy, root-lifted blowout

14. Use heat protection and stop frying your ends

15. Take care of your scalp + hair health

16. Whiten your teeth subtly

17. Take a bare-face 'before' photo

18. Reassess in 90 days

‘You look stunning already’

Samantha shared that she is documenting the whole thing, starting with brows. She captioned the video: "First up: shape + tint my brows. I’ve basically ignored my eyebrows forever, so I’m very curious how much of a difference this actually makes. Follow along while I check everything off and see what’s actually worth it."

The comments section was all support, no gatekeeping. “These are actually very good tips that I also use in my day-to-day life,” one person wrote. Others were hyping her up: “You look stunning already.” Another person said, “You are perfect the way you are!” And the natural beauty girlies came through with their own tips: “I drink celery juice and massage my face! Huge difference.”

But does it actually work? We asked the experts

Short answer: Yes. The science backs it up. Dr Saurabh Shah, consultant dermatologist at Saifee Hospital, Mumbai, told HT Lifestyle the AI nailed the fundamentals. While Botox temporarily smooths expression lines, he explained that long-term radiance comes from daily habits. His non-negotiables? Broad-spectrum SPF 50+, a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser, a barrier-repairing moisturiser, and at night, actives like retinol, vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid tailored to your skin type.

For hair, think moisturising conditioners, heat protectants, and protection from the sun and pollution: “In the end, there is no shortcut to looking younger. Regular skin care, sun protection, hair care, hydration, and a balanced diet work better for ageing than chasing quick fixes," Dr Shah said.

Dr Ridhima, associate consultant at COA Biohacking Clinic and Lounge, Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune, said the lifestyle stuff isn’t fluff — it’s cellular. She told HT Lifestyle, "Healthy, youthful‑looking skin does not rely on skincare products or cosmetic treatments. Everyday habits such as sleep, hydration and nutrition play a role in supporting skin from within."

She explained that quality sleep (7–9 hours) is when your skin actually repairs itself. Skimp on it and cortisol spikes, your barrier weakens, and hello, dullness and dark circles. Hydration from water and water-rich foods like berries, leafy greens, and cucumbers helps maintain elasticity, she added. And protein plus healthy omega-3 fats? They’re literally the building blocks for collagen, elastin, and keratin. Pro tip: Pair protein with vitamin C to supercharge natural collagen production. "Pairing protein‑rich foods with vitamin C sources, like citrus fruits, guava, berries and bell peppers can boost collagen synthesis," Dr Ridhima said.
