Sunny Deol has narrow escape as car tyre bursts on way to election rally

Gurdaspur senior superintendent of police Swarndeep Singh said after the tyre burst incident, BJP’s Gurdaspur candidate Sunny Deol continued his journey in a different vehicle.

BJP-SAD’s Gurdaspur candidate Sunny Deol, had a narrow escape when one of the front tyres of his car burst on the national highway near Sohal village, 8km from the district headquarters, around 11.30am on Monday.

Sunny was on his way to Fatehgarh Churian to address an election rally, when the incident took place. There were three other cars in his cavalcade.

Initially, his driver struggled to regain control over the car after the tyre burst but managed to bring the car to a stop well in time.  However, the three other cars in his cavalcade hit each other. One of the drivers drove his car over a road divider in a bid to dodge collision.

Although, the cars were damaged, no one was injured. Gurdaspur district BJP president BK Mittal said Sunny did not sustain any injury in the accident.
