Garment trader bludgeoned to death inside his Ulhasnagar house
The victim’s body was found by one of the family members who had gone call him for breakfast
A garment trader from Ulhasnagar was killed at his residence in Ulhasnagar Camp 2 on Thursday. Prakash Kachela, 55, died on the spot after the killer smashed his head several times. The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday.

Kachela’s body was found by one of the family members who had gone call him for breakfast. The police were informed and the body was sent central hospital for post-mortem.
An officer from Central police station said, “We have registered a case under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code. We are trying to check with the family whether he had past disputes or had recently argued with someone. Initially, it was difficult to identify the body because the head was smashed completely.”
Another officer said Kachela owns two houses in the same vicinity and had gone to his second house to sleep.
“He had kept the door open, which gave easy access to the killer. When one of his family members went to call him for breakfast, he found Kachela’s body lying in the pool of blood,” officer added.
