The members complained that the fans were not placed properly, one of the toilet blocks was not operational and found dirt in station premises and on tracks. “The condition of station, terminus and tracks is terrible in terms of cleanliness. We have suggested the officials to take action on the encroachers and penalise those who throw garbage in the station,” said Irfan Ahmad, member of PAC.

When contacted, Mukul Jain, divisional railway manager (DRM), Western Railway Mumbai division said, “We will remove some of the encroachment after monsoon. We are doing follow-ups with BMC to clear the garbage present within the premises of the station.”
