Man held for molesting minor

A 32-year-old man was arrested, on Saturday, for allegedly molesting a nine-year-old girl in the Sai Baba Nagar slums in Charkop. HT Correspondent reports.

A 32-year-old man was arrested, on Saturday, for allegedly molesting a nine-year-old girl in the Sai Baba Nagar slums in Charkop.

The accused has been identified as Shivaji More who is an electrician, said the police. More and the victim, both lived in the Sai Baba Nagar slums.A fortnight ago, the victim was playing outside her house with her friends when the accused took her to a secluded place and showed her some obscene clippings on his mobile phone. The petrified victim ran away from the spot but did not mention about the incident to her parents.

The victim reported the matter to her parents only after More did the same thing again after a few days, following which they lodged a complaint with the Charkop police.
