The Hello hitmaker opened up to her fans on stage at her concert at the Xcel Center this week where she dropped hints to her partner -- with whom she has three-year-old son Angelo -- that she’d like the 42-year-old to pop the question to her, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Rubbishing rumours that they have already secretly wed, she told the crowd: “I might as well be married, but I’m not. I would tell you if I did.”

The 28-year-old singer also reminded her fans that she will be going on a hiatus as soon as she finishes her world tour so she can look after her son who will start school soon.

However, she promised it won’t be “as long” as her four-year break in 2011 after she released her album 21.

“My kid is starting school, you see, hence why I’m so busy trying to get all my shows out of the way. I don’t think I’ll be away for as long,” she said.
