Kesha writes an emotional Facebook post on her fight with Dr Luke
Kesha has been battling her former producer Dr Luke in a sexual abuse case and garnering a lot of support from fellow female artists, notably Taylor Swift. The singer recently wrote a Facebook post, talking about her trauma.
Singer Kesha who is fighting a legal battle against her longtime producer Dr Luke, accusing him of sexual abuse, has written an emotional Facebook post, expressing her view on the case. The 28-year-old Tik Tok hitmaker said that “this issue is bigger than just about me,” reported Ace Showbiz. “All I ever wanted was to be able to make music without being afraid, scared, or abused,” Kesha said.
A judge ruled against her last week, citing there’s not enough evidence that Luke sexually, physically and emotionally assaulted her during their decade-old partnership. “This case has never been about a renegotiation of my record contract -- it was never about getting a bigger, or a better deal. This is about being free from my abuser,” Kesha wrote.

The pop star pleaded her label Sony to cut her ties with Luke so that she could go on recording under their flag. “I would be willing to work with Sony if they do the right thing and break all ties that bind me to my abuser. But at this point, this issue is bigger than just about me,” she said.

“I think about young girls today -- I don’t want my future daughter -- or your daughter -- or any person to be afraid that they will be punished if they speak out about being abused, especially if their abuser is in a position of power.”

She went on encouraging people who had been abused to speak up. “Yes, I am very much a feminist, but more than that, I am a humanist. I believe in supporting my fellow human beings in being SAFE,” she ended her post.
Sony is yet to comment on the singer’s case.
