Mariah "fantasised" to be kidnapped

Mariah Carey prayed to be kidnapped to get out of marriage with music mogul Tommy Mottola.

Singer Mariah Carey says during her marriage to record company mogul boss Tommy Mottola she prayed to be kidnapped to get out of the relationship.

According to Internet portal Ananova, the singer said she often fantasised about being kidnapped during her five-year marriage that ended in 1998.

Mariah told Allure magazine: "I longed for someone to come kidnap me back then. I used to fantasise about that a lot. I'd have my pocketbook with me at all times in case I had to make an escape."
