NEW DELHI: Minister of state for home affairs Kiren Rijiju on Friday praised the RSS and BJP workers in Kerala for opting for “democratic ways” to counter violence by communist cadres, saying that such attacks in other places would have been reciprocated by resorting to arms. “…Because we live in a democratic system, the only way to change is through democratic process,” he said.

The minister was speaking at a conference ‘Redrocity’ organised by the RSS to highlight the growing violence perpetrated by the communist cadres in Kerala. The event is one of the many that the BJP mentor will organise in the coming months to take its fight against the communist ideology forward.
Rijiju dubbed this attempt of the RSS to fight and highlight the Left-supported violence as a service to the nation and an attempt to redeem the “image and pride of Kerala”, which is being “tarnished” by the violence perpetrated by the Left.
Attacking the Left Democratic Government government for its alleged support to the cadres, the minister said it is “widely believed that such activities (violence) get state protection”.
