Following instructions of Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, the authority began calling in builders, home-buyers and concerned officials for meetings to address issues faced by the developers in finishing the projects.

The authority’s additional chief executive officer (ACEO) Shishir Singh has been meeting builders and homebuyers since April 10, to address concerns of home-buyers.

In every meeting, the authority has directed the builders to submit a written delivery schedule of flats to homebuyers.

The authority has held meetings for 16 realty projects so far.

“We have received a tower-wise delivery schedule from a total of 14 housing projects. Two builders, Sikka Infrastructure Private Limited and IVRCL Infrastructure and Projects Limited, are yet to submit their delivery schedule.

“The state government has made it clear that we act against the builders who fail to deliver as per plans submitted to the authority. We hope that builders will expedite delivery,” said Satish Mahana UP industry minister.

What the developers say

Jaypee Infratech

Jaypee Infratech has already given possession of 6,000 out of 28,000 flats, which were proposed.

“We will give possession of 6,000 flats by October 2017. We will give possession of another 8,000 flats by 2018. We will finish and offer possession of the remaining flats in 2018-19. Homebuyers should trust we will deliver as our project got delayed due to adverse market conditions,” said Sameer Gaur, director, Jaypee Infratech.

Supertech Group

The Supertech Group is developing a total of 14,658 dwelling units in its five realty projects in Noida. Till May 2017, Supertech promised to deliver a total 6,070 units to its home-buyers.

“We have delivered our flats exactly on time as per the promises made to the home-buyers. Now the developmental work on 5,155 flats is in full swing at our various projects. We will deliver these balance flats even before time. Our construction on all our projects is on time. We will deliver as peer the tower-wise schedule submitted to the authority,” said RK Arora CMD of Supertech Group.

Amrapali Group

As per the details submitted to the Noida authority, Amrapali Group will build a total of 10,000 flats in its six housing projects in different sectors.

“We have delivered 8,000 flats to our home-buyers. The remaining 2,000 flats will be delivered in 2017-18. We could not deliver flats on time because of litigation over the land between farmers and the Noida authority,” said Shiv Priya, director, Amrapali Group.

Amrapali has offered possession to around 8,000 home-buyers in incomplete complexes, which are yet to get adequate common facilities including fire systems, proper functional lifts, clubs, swimming pools and other basic requirements.

“We will finish the remaining works and complete the towers soon,” he said.

3C

3C has given possession of 5,000 out of 10,000 flats in five housing projects.

“Delivery of a few flats are late because of litigation over land and the national green tribunal’s stay on construction. But we will honour our commitment and deliver flats to homebuyers in next two years as promised,” said Vidur Bharadwaj director, 3C Group.

The Noida authority will publish the tower-wise delivery schedule of each developer on its website soon, officials said.
