PV Sindhu, Indian badminton queen, slammed airline company IndiGo for having “a very bad experience” while taking her flight from Hyderabad to Mumbai on Saturday. Sindhu took to Twitter to explain that a ground staffer misbehaved with her during the journey.
“Sorry to say .. I had a very bad experience when I was flying by 6E 608 flight to Bombay on 4th Nov,” PV Sindhu tweeted, also using an angry emoji.
In their response, IndiGo said that PV Sindhu had boarded the flight last, carrying oversized baggage which was not fitting into the overhead storage space. The airline explained that they told the 2016 Rio Olympics silver medallist that her bag would be moved to the cargo hold of the plane.

{{/usCountry}}Sindhu wrote on Twitter on Saturday afternoon, accusing IndiGo airline staffer Ajeetesh of behaving ‘badly’ and ‘rudely’ with her.
“Ground staff (skipper) Mr Ajeetesh behaved very badly and rudely with me. When the air hostess Ms Ashima tried to advise him to behave properly with the passenger (me) but to my surprise he behaved very rudely with her. If this type of people work for a reputed airline like IndiGo, they will spoil their reputation,” Sindhu tweeted.

She then later sent another tweet, correcting the name of the city from Bombay to Mumbai.
Meanwhile, IndiGo replied to her on Twitter, saying that they would like to get in touch with her regarding the issue.
Later, IndiGo explained that Sindhu’s baggage was too big and would be shifted to the cargo hold which is regular procedure.
Sindhu’s father was also travelling with her.
“The ground staff misbehaved with Sindhu while handling her kit bag. Sindhu had requested him to handle it with care as there were racquets inside. But the person behaved rudely. The air hostess tried to interfere but he was also rude to her. One should not behave with a lady like that, so Sindhu tweeted. She was hurt,” Sindhu’s father Ramana said.
The Hyderabadi has been in a fine run of form this year. Apart from reaching the World Championships final in Glasgow to claim the silver, she also won the Syed Modi Grand Prix Gold, India Open Superseries and Korea Open Superseries
