Bindra in World Championship team
New Delhi: Olympic gold-medallist, rifle shooter Abhinav Bindra, will get to defend his World Championship title when the event is held in Munich in July-August this year. The Olympic champion in 10m air rifle was included after he shot 590 and 594 in Pune trials.

Basketball receives boost
New Delhi: Basketball in India received a shot in the arm with IMG Reliance, a joint venture between Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries and IMG Worldwide, forging a tie-up with the federation to promote the sport. The Basketball Federation of India has granted IMG Reliance commercial rights relating to the sport.
