On Thursday, a day after Malaika Arora's father Anil Mehta died, his last rites were held in Mumbai. Many Bollywood celebrities arrived to pay their respects.

Kareena Kapoor was joined by actor-husband Saif Ali Khan as well as her sister, Karisma Kapoor, at Anil Mehta's funeral in Mumbai on Thursday. Kareena and Karisma are very close to Malaika Arora and her sister, Amrita Arora.

Malaika Arora's ex-husband Arbaaz Khan was one of the first celebs to be spotted at Anil Mehta's last rites in Mumbai on Thursday. A day earlier, he also visited Malaika's parents' home after the news of Anil's death broke. Sohail Khan and other members of Arbaaz's family also attended Thursday's funeral.

Farah Khan, who is a close friend of Malaika Arora, was also spotted at Anil Mehta's funeral on Thursday. The filmmaker-choreographer was seen arriving with director-brother Sajid Khan. The siblings lost their mother in July 2024.

Actor Mini Mathur, who was earlier a VJ on MTV India, also attended the funeral. Malaika Arora's father died on Wednesday. According to police, the reason for the alleged suicide is not clear yet and no suicide note has been recovered so far.
