Rain fury continues in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, causing flooded roads and rail tracks, submerging thousands of acres of crops and leaving people scrambling for essentials. At least 35 people have died in rain-related incidents in the past three days.  (Reuters)

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), both states are likely to receive more moderate showers today. Earlier, the weather department had warned that a depression over the Vidarbha region had caused heavy rain in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, presenting a flash flood risk as well.  (ANI)

The Telangana Special Police (TGSP) personnel conduct rescue operations in the flood-affected areas. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team, along with Central forces and district officials, also provided food, drinking water, and other essential items to the flood-affected areas in Vijayawada through helicopters. Earlier on Monday, the Indian Air Force (IAF) carried out relief operations in flood-affected areas of Andhra Pradesh. According to officials, four aircraft including two each Ilyushin-76 and C-130 carried NDRF teams and relief material from different parts of the country to support relief operations in Vijayawada. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu visited the flood-affected areas in Vijayawada on Monday following heavy rainfall. After his visit, Naidu said that the recent torrential rain and subsequent floods in Andhra Pradesh, particularly in Vijayawada, is the "biggest disaster" he has witnessed in the state in his political career. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with ministers and officials, inspected the damaged Paleru Left Canal and damaged crop fields in Paleru on Monday. He will be visiting flood-affected areas in Mahabubabad district on Tuesday, the second day of his tour to rain-hit places. According to officials, Reddy stayed overnight in Khammam after visiting several places in the town accompanied by some of his cabinet colleagues, reported ANI. (ANI)
