Photos: India’s Covid-19 case fatality rate drops to below 2.5%

India’s Covid-19 case fatality rate is progressively falling according to the Union Health Ministry and currently stands at 2.49%, which is among the lowest rates in the world. The ministry credited an effective containment strategy, aggressive testing and standardized clinical management protocols based on holistic standard of care approach for this dip. Moreover, 29 states and union territories are with a case fatality rate (CFR) lower than India’s average. India’s current coronavirus tally stands at 1,118,043 cases with 700,087 recoveries and 27,497 deaths.
