In relationships, we often come to the point when we know that there is no way forward from there. That is the expiration point in the relationship. However, due to multiple reasons we are not able to leave and terminate the relationship. Therapist Nedra Glover Tawwab addressed this and wrote, “Sometimes people stay too long because they haven't reached their limit, aren't ready, or can't leave. Sometimes things do improve, but you can't determine when that happens. Knowing things can change keeps us in situations even when things are healthy.” (Unsplash)
