Photos: At over 85,000 cases Maharashtra crosses China’s Covid-19 tally

Maharashtra recorded 3,007 coronavirus cases that pushed its tally to 85,975 on June 7, a day before buses hit Mumbai’s streets and private offices open for the first time in nearly two-and-a-half months as part of the state government’s staggered plan to unlock India’s worst-affected state. The death toll in the state also breached the 3,000 mark yesterday after 91 cases were reported. Mumbai recorded 61 deaths, its highest one day toll.
