    Photos: Maharashtra prepares for Covid-19 peak, cases cross 9,000

    As Maharashtra moves closer to the grim 10,000 Covid-19 cases mark and more districts get affected, the state government has directed authorities to ensure containments by careful tracing and testing. Improving the state’s doubling rate –the number of days taken for the case tally to double – is a priority task with house-to-house surveillance, aggressive contact tracing, and containment strategies enforced. The state is preparing for the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) to peak by the second week of May.
