Goa's Mopa airport to be inaugurated by PM Modi on Sunday | PICS
Prime minister Narendra Modi will Goa's inaugurate Mopa International Airport - the second airport in the coastal state after Dabolim. The project's foundation stone was laid in 2016.The Prime minister is scheduled to visit both Maharashtra and Goa on Sunday. He will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for numerous projects in these two states.The Prime Minister's Office said the new airport in Goa had, "...adopted some of the best-in-class technologies... like 3-D monolithic precast buildings, StabilRoad, robomatic hollow precast walls (and) 5G-compatible IT infrastructure. Some of the features of the airport include a runway capable of handling the world's largest aircrafts, 14 parking bays with night parking facility, self-baggage drop for passengers and state-of-the-art independent air navigation infrastructure, among others."
