MCD Polls: Polling underway in Delhi amid tight security
The total number of voters in Delhi is 1,45,05,358 (78,93,418 males and 66,10,879 females and 1,061 transgender persons), as per the data shared by State Election Commission officials.
Voting for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) in the 250 wards of the national capital began on Sunday morning. The voting began at 8 am and will conclude at 5:30 pm today.(PTI)

Authorities have set up 13,638 polling stations across Delhi for the exercise. According to the data shared by officials, 3,360 booths, spanning 493 locations, have been identified in critical or sensitive categories.(PTI)

Tribals and farmers affected by the Ken-Betwa river-linking project stage a symbolic Chita Andolan (pyre protests), Jal Satyagraha and hanging satyagraha by placing nooses around their necks, over their demands of better compensation and rehabilitation, in Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh. The 15-day protest ended after police removed them from site.
