Schools in West Bengal reopened for classes 8-12 with Covid-19 Protocols on Thursday. "Covid-19 situation in Bengal has improved. Schools will reopen on February 3 for classes 8 to 12. Colleges, universities, polytechnics and ITIs will also restart offline classes on the same day. We are not reopening primary schools right now," West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced on January 31.(ANI)

Speaking to news agency ANI, Ashmita Shah, a student, shared her experience of being away from school for two years and said that she missed the school environment the most. "When the lockdown was imposed, I was in 8th standards now I am in 10th standard.
