MS Dhoni's return to captaincy didn't spark Chennai Super Kings' dwindling campaign to life as they lost to Kolkata Knight Riders by eight wickets on Friday at the Chepauk Stadium. CSK were limited to a score of 103/9, their lowest ever at home, and KKR chased it down in 10.1 overs.  (AFP)

KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and chose to bowl first. CSK had earlier announced that their regular skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad was ruled out for the rest of the season and Dhoni, the face of the franchise who had led them to five IPL titles, will be filling in for the rest of the year.  (PTI)
