Photos: Queen Elizabeth I’s funeral corset comes to life at New Abbey Museum

Queen Elizabeth I's funeral corset will be on display at the New Abbey Museum. It will be among the 300 objects from the Abbey collection on display in The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June this year.

The corset will be among 300 objects from the Abbey collection on display in The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Galleries when they open at Westminster Abbey in June. Her death, at Richmond Palace on 24 March 1603 was an occasion of universal mourning. For some days the body lay at Richmond and then was brought by barge to Whitehall Palace to lie in state.
