    Photos: Scars of Hong Kong protests on a university campus

    The campus of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University is strewn with items like tear gas canisters, Molotov cocktails, broken spectacles, etc. owing to the violent clashes between protesters and riot police a week ago. The Hong Kong protests, that have been ongoing for over six months now, have witnessed demonstrations from college students in large numbers. The clash at the university campus ended on November 19, but the objects which remain in the campus -- police weaponry mixed with the means used by protesters to both protect themselves and fight back – are stark reminders of the violence that has overtaken the city lately.
