Cantonment Police have registered a non-cognisable offence against Dr Parvez Inamdar, son of educationist P A Inamdar, on charges of physically assaulting Arif Gudakuwala, a final year master of Dental Sciences student at Rangoonwalla College of Dental Sciences.
According to the police, the incident took place inside the college premises around noon near the principal’s cabin. Meanwhile, Dr Parvez Inamdar and college principal Ramandeep Duggal also lodged non-cognisable offences against Arif Gudakuwala, son of Azim Gudakuwala, a director of the Muslim co-operative bank.
Inspector Vasant Kuwar, in-charge of Cantonment police station, told Hindustan Times that Arif Gudakuwala had gone to the office of principal Duggal and requested her that he be given his hall ticket. Apparently , Gudakuwala’s hall ticket has been held by the college administration as there were fees pending in his name.
“A quarrel broke out where the principal accused Gudakuwala of behaving arrogantly. Dr Parvez Inamdar, who had come for the meeting, tried to intervene. However, both Gudakuwala and Inamdar roughed up each other,” PI Kuwar said.
When contacted, Dr Parvez Inamdar said, “I have given whatever I have to say to the police.”

{{/usCountry}}Arif Gudakuwala said, “I have paid the entire fees when my dad was a trustee. First they were demanding ₹10 lakh as fees and then reduced it to ₹8 lakh. Dr Parvez asked me to get out of the campus and pushed and shoved me. The moment I stepped out of the door, I was slapped by Dr Parvez in front of college staffers. He has also threatened me with dire consequences.”
