Prime Minister Narendra Modi has scheduled to give a live-streamed message as part of celebrations for the 99th birthday of spiritual leader Dada JP Vaswani , on August 2.
Celebrations for the same commenced amid performances organised by an organisation called Bridge Builders on July 23 evening. Spread across five days, starting from July 29 to August 2, Dada JP Vaswani will be commemorated.
Beginning July 29, the celebrations would open with a 99-hour continuous group chanting of ‘Maha Mritunjaya Yagna Mahotsav’, which is to begin at 6.30 am, and continue non-stop till August 2.
Simultaneously, a kirtan session called the Kirtan Ras has also been organised with performances by several accomplished singers.
On July 30, a motivational talk by Dada Vaswani has been organised at 6 pm. Titled ‘Make The Right Choice’, the talk will be followed by a question and answer session, hosted by film actor Kabir Bedi.
A theatrical performance, ‘The Quest’ will take place on July 31 followed by meditative mantras by Ashok Khosla. The next day, ‘My Idol’, premiere of a special musical film on Dada JP Vaswani will be screened on August 1.
Finally, to celebrate Vaswani, born on August 2, 1918, a forgiveness session will be held, called ‘The Moment of Calm’ which will be led by Vaswani from 2 pm. The day, will also be observed as the Global Forgiveness Day, where people will collectively assemble across the world to forgive each other. This year, the celebrations have been themed as ‘Nothing But Love’.
