The entrance test featured nearly 14,700 candidates across the state. Conducted in two shifts for 15,700-odd applicants, it had nearly 7,300 aspiring doctors in the first group and 7,400 in the next. BFUHS vice-chancellor Dr Raj Bahadur said the two sets of questions papers were from the same examiner to keep the level of difficulty uniform.

In one of the centres, a few candidates uploaded some of the biology questions on WhatsApp for the benefit of the second shift coming in. “The next batch, though, had an entirely different set of questions. Moreover, it had checked into the examination centres already,” said the V-C. The university observers reported no problem in the other centres.

“In the morning shift, 120 students came to their centres with old admit cards, but the university accommodated them still. The late-reporting candidates were put in the second shift,” said the V-C.

“The next batch, though, had an entirely different set of questions. Moreover, it had checked into the examination centres already,” Dr Raj Bahadur, vice-chancellor, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, said.
